Shimotsuma has two route buses: one connecting Shimotsuma Station (Kanto Railway Joso Line) and Tsuchiura Station (JR Joban Line) and the other connecting Shimotsuma Station and Tsukuba Center (Tsukuba Express Line Tsukuba Station).
